Qualifications: All of Sunset’s radiologists must possess an impeccable service record and demonstrate a commitment to uncompromising and compassionate patient care. Minimum qualifications require that you be board certified in radiology, have an unencumbered medical malpractice history and medical license, exhibit excellent character, education, training and skills, and possess current competence. Applicants more than 10 years out of training may be required to pass an additional licensing examination (SPEX).
Applicants must be adept with computers, voice recognition dictation, soft copy reading and managing teleradiology work lists. Our radiologists telephone all critical findings and are immediately available during their shifts for telephone consultation with doctors, nurses and technologists. Applicants must be comfortable working independently to interpret the gamut of adult and pediatric radiological studies from all modalities. Applicants should also be comfortable with the fast-paced practice of emergency teleradiology, which requires time-sensitive turnaround of high-quality reports.
